Introducing Rabbi Gurevitz – Jewish Studies Educator at Tamim Academy

We are excited to welcome Rabbi Gurevitz to the Tamim Academy team! With a bright smile and genuine warmth, Rabbi Gurevitz brings deep passion and care to his teaching. He creates a joyful, nurturing learning environment where students feel seen, supported, and inspired to connect with their Jewish identity.

Known for his enthusiastic and student-centered approach, Rabbi Gurevitz tailors his teaching to meet each child’s unique needs and strengths. He brings Torah learning to life through stories, hands-on activities, and a contagious excitement that helps children build a personal and meaningful connection to Jewish values and traditions.

In addition to his work in the classroom, Rabbi Gurevitz is actively involved in Jewish programming in Coquitlam, where he leads engaging educational events for children and adults with the same love, joy, and dedication he brings to his students.

Rabbi Gurevitz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Rabbinical Studies from Yeshivas Ohr Elchonon and a Bachelor’s degree in Talmudic Law from the Central Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim in New York. He was ordained as a rabbi by the Rabbinical Council of Israel.

In his free time, Rabbi Gurevitz enjoys spending time with his family in the beautiful nature that British Columbia has to offer.
