Our classroom community, known here as our School Family, creates a sense of warmth and family. Because every parent who chooses Tamim is family, we aim to be there for all of our family’s needs inside and outside of school.

Program Highlights
GARDENING
Our hands-on gardening program in the spring will provide the children with the ultimate garden to table experience. They tend to the garden, planting and nurturing their seeds until they reap its fruits, fostering a love for nature and land.
NATURE EXPLORATION
Integrating nature exploration at our school provides students with enriching experiences that deepen their connection to the environment. Through activities like hiking and wildlife observation, students develop critical thinking skills and a sense of stewardship towards nature, fostering both intellectual curiosity and emotional well-being.
ART
The children will have opportunities to use a variety of art materials and allow their creativity to flourish as they create beautiful, unique artwork. Engaging in art fosters self-expression and problem-solving skills, promoting emotional well-being and cognitive development.
TZIVOS HASHEM (Talmudic Critical Thinking)
Students engage with classic Jewish texts in a way that nurtures both intellectual curiosity and practical reasoning skills. Through guided, age-appropriate study, they learn to examine multiple perspectives, identify patterns of logic, and build well-structured arguments. Lessons emphasize the importance of asking deep questions, respectfully debating differing viewpoints, and analyzing ideas with clarity and precision. This approach not only sharpens critical thinking but also fosters confi dence in independent thought and the ability to articulate ideas thoughtfully in both Jewish learning and everyday life.
MATH DETECTIVES
Students approach mathematics as a creative and logical discipline, engaging in problem-solving workshops that strengthen reasoning and analytical skills. Through puzzles, real-world challenges, and collaborative activities, they learn to break down complex problems into manageable steps, recognize patterns, and apply multiple strategies to fi nd solutions. STEM & ROBOTICS

ARTS & CREATIVITY

SPORTS & P.E.
Students take part in dynamic and structured physical education designed to promote both fi tness and fun. JEWISH LEARNING & VALUES
Students connect with Jewish life and tradition through holiday projects, stories, and lessons that bring values (middot) to life in meaningful ways. Learning emphasizes kindness, respect, gratitude, and responsibility, helping children see how timeless teachings guide everyday choices and relationships. Through celebrations, storytelling, and hands-on experiences, students build a strong sense of identity and pride in their heritage. COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUB
Students engage in meaningful group projects and activities that promote responsibility, leadership, and problem-solving through acts of service. CHESS CLUB
Students explore the game of chess as a fun and challenging way to develop strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Lessons cover the fundamentals, tactics, and advanced strategies while encouraging patience, focus, and careful planning. Through practice games and collaborative analysis, children learn to anticipate consequences, think several steps ahead, and make thoughtful decisions. This program not only strengthens critical thinking but also fosters perseverance, confi dence, and a love of learning through engaging, mind-stimulating play.
FRIDAY MUSIC LESSONS
Students participate in weekly classroom-based music lessons that explore singing, rhythm, and a variety of instruments. Through hands-on practice and collaborative activities, they develop creativity, musicality, and an appreciation for different sounds and styles. Lessons encourage self-expression, confi dence, and teamwork, allowing children to experience the joy of making music together. KNITTING & CROCHET CLUB
Students explore the arts of knitting and crochet through hands-on projects that foster creativity, focus, and patience. Lessons guide them in developing practical skills while encouraging self-expression and pride in completing their own creations. This program nurtures concentration, resilience, and a sense of accomplishment, providing a calm and engaging space for students to connect with the craft and enjoy the process of making something with their own hands.
BASKETBALL CLUB
Students participate in an engaging basketball program designed to develop physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Through drills, practice games, and skill-building exercises, they strengthen coordination, agility, and endurance while learning the fundamentals of the game. Emphasis is placed on fair play, communication, and perseverance, helping students build confi dence and a positive attitude both on and off the court. This program combines fun, fi tness, and skill development, encouraging students to enjoy the game while growing as athletes and teammates.
HOMEWORK CLUB
Students receive structured support and guidance to complete assignments, reinforce learning, and develop strong study habits. The program emphasizes organization, time management, and independent thinking, while providing a supportive environment for asking questions and tackling challenges. By working through assignments with guidance, children build confi dence, responsibility, and academic skills that help them succeed both in the classroom and beyond. Homework Club fosters focus, perseverance, and a sense of accomplishment in a calm and encouraging setting.
CONTESTS & COMPETITIONS
Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of contests and competitions throughout the year, including events like Doodle for Google and science fairs. These experiences encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving while allowing students to showcase their talents and ideas. Lessons emphasize preparation, persistence, and self-expression, helping children build confi dence and take pride in their accomplishments.
